Importantly, I do not usually want to report this sort of news! However the story does show how vulnerable people can be. So, the attached article tells about the whats, wheres and whens. Care must be taken by all travellers when visiting railway stations.

Including the users of mobility scooters and electric wheelchairs. Especially staying clear of the platform edge. Sadly for what ever reason then this guy made a mistake.Paying the ultimate price for his actions! Could I offer my sympathy and condolences to all his family.

Of course it is always sad to hear about any accident, let alone when it is the elderly or disabled. Life is far too short for this kind of thing to happen! Mobility scooter drivers do appear to take risks. Primarily driving on busy roads and streets.

I personally drive hundreds of miles a week. Of course delivering our batteries. So it now a common site to see a mobility scooter driving down the road . Seemingly, oblivious to the traffic hurtling past them. Accidents look imminent!

So, busy train stations are going to be no exception. Busy people hustling and bustling on the platform are not going to see a person on a wheelchair or mobility scooter who are also trying to board the train?
